About this Track

Fantastic ski tour on the high plateau of the Rofan mountains. Impressive view of the Guffert and the village of Steinberg am Rofan. From the mountain station, walk over the ski slope to the Mauritzalm, then continue downhill to the Ortovox educational trail. Follow the summer hiking path easterly via the Grubastiege to the high plateau. At the signpost, walk over the wide ridge under the broad summit slope of the Seekarlspitze. After several hairpin bends you will reach the summit cross.

Additional Information

Parking: Car park Rofan Seilbahn 1 & 2 in Maurach

Access: By bus to Maurach, Rofan-Seilbahn stop. Then take the cable car to the mountain station.

Safety: Avalanche transceiver, probe, and shovel required. Check the avalanche transceiver checkpoint at Rofan.
