About this Track

Intermediate level ski touring route from Gréolières les neiges to the Cime Jérusalem. Departure from the Gréolières snow front, opposite the Cafétéria du Cheiron. Descent back to the snow front via 'Bergerie' and 'Dolines Basses'. Ascent route details: Walk along the resort's snow front heading east towards the 'Dolines Basses' blue run. Go up it on the left-hand side at the edge of the forest. Take the access track to the Jas ski lift on your left. Be careful, the path is narrow and skiers may be coming towards you, so stay well to the left. Pass the ski lift departure station and continue along the 'Bergerie' run, which you continue to climb on the left, leaving the 'Cairn' run on your right. After branching southwards, leave 'Bergerie' at an altitude of 1620m to head south-east towards the Croix de Verse. Reach the Crêtes du Cheiron by sight, bypassing a rocky mound on the left. From there, the Cime de Jérusalem is easily accessible. Alternative: possible to cross the ridges and reach the Croix de Verse to the east. Descent route: By sight, on the north face directly below the summit. Pull slightly to your left, towards the north-west, to reach the ski area runs. Be careful not to go too low outside the domain, otherwise you will have to put your skins back on to catch the 'Bergerie' run. Return to the snow front via 'Bergerie' and 'Dolines Basses'.
